Talking walls
in Literacy
The talking walls are made up of literacy materials and artwork made by students and teachers. These materials and artwork contains new vocabulary that students can then engage with by reading out loud as they walk around the school.
Step-by-step instructions for other teachers
Find a space that has plenty of traffic by students within the school.
Cut out articles containing new words from magazines for students to engage. Have a few students draw artwork related to new terms learnt on the walls as well.
What kind of results to expect?
